Lobster, copy edits, and reviews.

Once again I’m writing this at the swimming pool. At any one time, there’s usually a Beal wishing a sibling hadn’t been born. But give them the opportunity to get away from each other, and they gravitate to the same space. Pity I’m not allowed to take a picture of them now as proof.

Last week, my husband and I had four days away on our own while our children were at church camp. We checked our phones a lot at first, half-expecting an SOS call from the leaders. But nothing came. There were a lot of beach walks and good meals, generally tied together. Our favourite afternoon involved a three-mile trek to find fresh lobster and crab.

SOLD has just come back from the copy editor. She was there to pick up spellings, typos, and continuity errors. This week, we’ll format it and send it to the proofreader. By the end of August, we should have advance copies, ready to send out for review.

The e-book is available 1st October. Print comes out 1st February.

I’m looking forward to that smug “we’ve done this before” feeling with our next project, Letting Go.
